Most fiction authors believe that if they just write a great book, readers will find it eventually. That good writing is enough. That posting a few times on social media — or just waiting for word of mouth — will somehow turn into a real readership.
I believed that too. And I watched my first book make $20 a month while I told myself it just hadn’t found its audience yet.
Here’s the truth: readers are not sitting on Amazon waiting to discover your book. They’re on TikTok. They’re watching 30-second clips of scenes that make them feel something — and then they’re opening a new tab to buy the book.
The authors feeding those clips to them every day are the ones with 40,000, 60,000, 90,000 page reads a month or more! Not because they went viral. Because they showed up with a system, 10 minutes a day, and let it compound.
What I did instead
In November 2025, I hit 90,000+ KU page reads. In December — without publishing anything new — I hit 60,000+.
I did it without showing my face. Without spending money on ads. Without chasing trends or learning dances or doing anything that made me feel like a content creator instead of an author.
I did it by pulling scenes directly from my books and posting them to TikTok in a specific format, with specific keywords, every single day. The whole thing takes 10 minutes.
I’ve grown TikTok accounts to 2,000+ followers using this method. I’ve gotten 900+ ARC reviewer applications on a single book using the same funnel. I built an email list of 1,700+ subscribers from zero.
